Tunnock’s the major sponsor of WHYW, World renowned biscuit makers, Tunnock’s has provided over a decade of support for this special regatta. The unique range of Tunnock’s products complements what is internationally recognised as a ‘unique moving’ regatta. The spinnaker classes are known as The Tunnock’s Fleet. Tunnock’s also sponsor the Tobermory to Oban passage race on the final day of the event and award The Thomas Tunnock Trophy for the winner in IRC Class 3 on Friday.

Argyll and Bute Council has sponsored WHYW for many years. Argyll and Bute Council recognises the economic and community benefit the regatta brings to Oban, Craobh and Tobermory. WHYW is increasingly developing as a community event with a Festival atmosphere created when the fleet is in town. This in itself is a magnet of attraction for both locals and visitors.

Treeline is a family-run forestry business based in the Scottish Borders, headed up by our very own WHYW Chairman, Gavin Marshall. There are four sides to what Treeline do, they sell firewood, timber and fencing products, machinery for processing firewood, and offer forestry management services. They could be persuaded into a fifth side though depending on WHYW competitors’ demand – how about your very own Douglas Fir mast?!

Lochnell Boat Yardis located on the Westerly side of Ardmucknish Bay and offers a wide range of boat maintenance services and boat storage facilities to boat owners. The private situation of the Estate offers a secure and private area to store boats.
Isle of Islay Gin is hand crafted on the Isle of Islay. A private family-owned Scottish business and the first and only company solely dedicated to producing Gin on the Hebridean Isle of Islay. They have supplied WHYW with their wonderful gin for our opening reception to ensure the week starts of with a bang!
Ballachulish Marina is located in the West Harbour in Loch Leven. The marina allows for you to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, discover the history of the area and enjoy the local amenities. They have kindly agreed to sponsors our family packs for this years event.
